I International Conference “System Identification and Control Problems” SICPRO ‘2000 has been held 26 to 28 September 2000. In the Conference Program 5 plenary addresses and 192 regular papers have been included. A detailed analytical report on the Conference SICPRO ‘2000 has been published in the journal “Vestnik RFFI” (“News of the Russian Fund for Basic Researches”). The Conference Proceedings are represented in the Russian State Library, State Public Scientific and Engineering Library, Library of Natural Sciences, Russian National Library of Saint-Petersburg, as well as in many others libraries of Russia. Conditions for further wide distribution of the Conference Proceedings over scientific libraries of Russia and foreign countries have been prepared.
   In the Program of II International Conference “System Identification and Control Problems” 178 papers are included, involving 6 plenary addresses. The Conference SICPRO ’03 participants represent university and research centers of 21 countries: Azerbaijan, Byelorussia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, Germany, Georgia, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Kyrgyz Republic, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, USA, Yugoslavia.
   These reflect the fact, that the idea of creation of a new persistently acting conference has become consistent one as an event having considerable reply in the scientific world. The main purpose of the conferences SICPRO is creating conditions for uniting various scientific directions to elaborate science intensive methodologies and high performance computer technologies for solving actual applied problems modern control theory. Such conferences are assumed in sequel to be annual ones. In particular, III International Conference “System Identification and Control Problems” SICPRO ’04 will be held 28 to 30 January 2004.
